Program Support Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Program Support Specialist to support a program at our client, the US Department of Defense. The position is mostly remote; however candidates must be able to reliably commute to Washington, DC for required meetings and events.

The individual fulfilling this role shall utilize their hard and soft skills to develop an understanding of the customer’s overall goal, vision, and objectives, leveraging this knowledge and experience to support day-to-day tasks and activities.

responsibilities

  • Leverage knowledge and experience in supporting the development of solutions.
  • Ability to support multiple tasks within a project in one or more of the following: program management services, advertising services, public relations services, web-based marketing consulting services, market research and analysis, conference, strategic planning for technology programs/activities, concept development and requirements analysis, acquisition, and life cycle management.
  • Assist definition of project objectives and strategic direction.
  • Serve as a facilitator to supporting objectives of complex efforts.
  • Support and manage the activities of junior and intermediate staff as necessary.
  • Schedule and host project related meetings with Senior staff and stakeholders.
  • Creating staff package for project staff on-boarding.
  • Understand and support FOIA requests.
  • Review project related documents for pertinent information.
  • Other duties as assigned by Program Management.

Experience, skills and qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen with an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of program and project management experience on federal projects and/or programs.
  • Experience with MS Office 365.
  • Working knowledge of FOIA requests.
